Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle as a Criterion of Truth in Science and Philosophy

Michael Shoikhedbrod

Abstract

Werner Heisenberg discovered the fundamental uncertainty relation: the simultaneous accurate measurement of the errors of two variables characterizing the two parameters of quantum mechanical system is impossible. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle became one of the cornerstone principles of quantum mechanics and a consequence of the content of wave-particle duality. Another more important interpretation of the uncertainty principle is the following conclusion: the more precisely one characteristic of a quantum mechanical system of a particle is measured, the less accurately one can calculate the second.  The article is devoted to the definition of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle as a criterion of truth in science and philosophy.
