Abstract

This study presents an investigation on the performance characteristics of a hydraulic wind turbine with a variable accumulator.  The aim of this research is to assess the feasibility and efficiency of utilizing hydraulic systems in wind energy conversion. The hydraulic wind turbine employs a variable accumulator, which allows for energy storage and regulation. By varying the accumulator’'s pressure and volume, the turbine’'s performance can be optimized to match the varying wind conditions. This approach offers the potential for increased energy capture and improved operational flexibility compared withto traditional wind turbines. In this investigation, a comprehensive mathematical model is developed to simulate the hydraulic wind turbine system. The model incorporates the turbine’'s aerodynamic behaviorbehavior, hydraulic components, and control strategies. Simulations are performed to evaluate the system’'s performance under various wind speeds and load conditions.
