Abstract

Good medical practice requires the best, efficient and privacy-preserved patient health records. This paper focuses on few concerns related to the utilization of systems for maintaining health records. Primarily, electronic health records (ECR’s) cannot be remotely accessed by the patient anywhere, anytime, but also is used to maintain the privacy of patient’s data. The proposed method aims on the potential use of biometric identification to maintain a common health record database limited by privacy protocols. The acquired data will be available in the server and it can be accessed anytime using laptops/mobiles/tablets etc. The process of medical data storage and retrieval using biometrics is demonstrated using the real-time PPG signal acquired through biokit.
