Synthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles Using Different pH Values

Abstract


ZnO nanoparticles have been prepared via simple precipitation technique. The size of ZnO nanoparticles was tuned by using different concentration of sodium hydroxide. The as-grown nanoparticles were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, PL spectroscopy and FTIR analysis. XRD results confirmed the tuning of size of ZnO nanoparticles with decreasing the concentration of sodium hydroxide. Absorption results show the blue shift in the peak position with decreasing the size of ZnO nanoparticles. PL spectra indicate the marked improvement in luminescence intensity with decreasing the size.
