Flood risk assessment is a process which involves the making of a judgment regarding the occurrence of a flood in the future.This study involves the making of an assessment regarding floods based on the community knowledge.The primary and secondary data were used to assess the vulnerability of the study area for the floods.Community perception was used as a primary data to make an effective assessment of floods in the future.The recommendations provided by the paper can help to stir the government.This study provides socio-economic and demographic condition of the local community.It will also provide some recommendations based on community perception to prevent the occurrence of a flood or reduce the impacts authorities in taking the some public friendly steps to prevent floods in the study area.Downloads
