Design of Solar Powered Mini Hydraulic Crane for Light Weight the Case of Mettu Area

In today’s world the need to develop an efficient hydraulic machine is paramount for industries and designers to reduce the labor workers using simple mechanisms. To simplify the personnel effort in some mechanical and hydraulic machine-maintained industries this work is targeted to design and fabrication of a solar powered mini hydraulic crane. This hydraulic crane is made up of combining those components like the hydraulic actuator or actuating cylinder, the boom, vertical column, crane hook, base plate, the fluid reservoir, pumps, seals, valves and conductor. The elementary design essentials and parameters considered in this design of the mini hydraulic cylinder are; the piston (diameter and cross-sectional area), and the barrel or cylinder, crane hook, boom (thickness, force and pressure developed). This project also includes design and production of a mini solar powered crane which can lift a load with a maximum capacity of 2.5 ton. Our mini crane is designed to lift a maximum height of 3.7 meters because our main objective is to load a pvc pipe, hdpe pipe or conduits in to a Sino truck having a height of 3.4 meters. The outcomes obtained reveal that the machine is capable of lifting loads up to 2500N within a height of 3.7 meters. So that, our mini crane gains its significance in the transportation of heavy machine parts, raw materials, final products within and outside the workshop. It can similarly be used to load and unload machine parts on trucks.
