Application of Nanotechnology in Cosmeceuticals

Khushboo Upadhyay

Abstract

This review collects the recent updates regarding the use of nanomaterials in cosmetics. This work also compiles the most recent information on the usage of nanomaterials in cosmetics. A special emphasis is placed on the uses of nanoparticles in the beauty sector, their distinctive properties, and the advantages of nanoscale constituents over non-nanoscale goods. Furthermore, special emphasis is placed on the current regulations and safety assessments in place regarding the use of nanomaterials in cosmetics. Concerns about health have limited the use of nanomaterials in cosmetics, and because novel nanomaterials may be utilized in the future by the cosmetic sector, rigorous characterization and risk assessment are required to meet standard safety criteria.
