Abstract

Abstract

A numerical study of turbulent air flow in a rectangular duct with three plate and waved baffles was investigated. The governing equations, based on the model k-ε realizable used to describe the turbulence, are solved by the finite volume method with the use of the SIMPLE algorithm. The dynamic and thermal structure of the flow was analyzed by the presentation of several parameters, namely, the intensity of turbulence, reports of friction coefficients, the Nusselt number, the coefficients of thermal expansion and dragged were treated for all the geometries and for different Reynolds numbers.
