Abstract
The current work deals with the design of ventilation and air conditioning for utility tug which is built for the Indian navy by HSL considering previously built values of the tug, which was approved. The main purpose of this project is to reckon the heat load calculations for air-conditioning and ventilation heat load calculations of the utility tug. The calculations were performed on the basis of some professional organizations like ACCA, SMACNA, MMD, IRS, SOLAS, AIRAH, and some well known industrial journals. Apart from these calculations, the work deals with the material estimation for the ducting inside the tug. So, this entire work gives us the idea about heat load calculations, along with the material required for performing the duct work inside the tug accommodation chambers, with drafting of the ventilation ducting arrangement for accommodation inside utility tug.
