Abstract

Air is a mixture of various gases like nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, helium, neon, etc. These gases can be separated at cryogenic temperature by liquefying each of their components at different temperature and pressure. This paper presents latest technology in bulk production of high purity of nitrogen, oxygen & argon from air, and analytical process design of a 1250 ton/day plant. The results are compared with the data of actual existing plant.
