Norway-Energy, Environment and Economic Policies

Abstract


The Kingdom of Norway or “Kongeriket Norge” is rich in resources such as in natural gas, petroleum, fish, minerals, fresh water and hydropower. Here, the oil and gas industry alone counts for one-fourth of the country’s GDP. On a per-capita basis, Norway is one of the world's largest producers of oil and natural gas other than the OPEC countries and FSU.
