Sarma Arnab, Kambekar A.R, Chakraborty Sudipta

Abstract

Climate Science is one of the most complex science, which involves physics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, geology, ocean hydraulics, remote sensing, solar radiation and many other unknown factors. Human greed has been identified as the principal cause of anthropogenic global warming. Human habitation all over the globe, more particularly in the coastal places are going to face catastrophe due to uncontrolled ever-increasing Sea-Level Rise. Although there have been lot of efforts to control the rise of temperature however the desired result is difficult to be obtained. In spite of thorough and continuous research in the related field lot of uncertainties in finding the best practice is yet to be ascertained. In this paper the authors highlight a new innovative approach i.e., Glacier Geoengineering and apprises the possible effectiveness of the proposed methodology and the merits and demerits have been discussed.  Keywords: Global Warming, Melting Of Ice, Sea Level Rise, Uncertainties, Geoengineering
