A Review on Nanofluids: Preparation and Applications

Abhishek Gakare

Abstract

Nanofluids are essential because they improve heat transfer. Nanofluids are colloidal combinations of ceramic particles or nanometric metallic in a base fluid, such as ethylene glycol, water or oil. Nanofluids possess huge potential to increase the heat transfer character of the original liquid due to enhanced thermal transport properties. nanoparticles have been utilized in transmission oil, radiator coolant and engine oil to increase heat transfer removal from automobile engine. Specific application of nanofluids in cooling of diesel electric generator, engine cooling, cooling in machining, cooling of warmth trading gadgets, improving diesel generator productivity, pounding, power module have been tested on and showed. The heat transfer execution of nanofluids has been reported for to perform well compared to pure liquid. In this article, a brief overview has been shown to address the special features of nanofluids, such as their applications, preparation and types etc.
