Abstract

A numbers of park are found in study area such as - Madhav National Park, Chironji Park etc. Integration of GPS and Remote Sensing technologies provide stereo images which allow topographic mapping and the functionality gives not only static display but also analytical process. The Shivpuri district has growth and developmental activities such as building and road construction, agricultural expansion and touristic activities etc. These activities have increased the land consumption and modification of vegetation cover built day–by-day. Vegetation mapping and GPS are the measure and determine the thematic data and information. Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation increasingly being used in vegetation studies to track the locations. Vegetation maps using a Geographical Information System (GIS) it is possible to relate location to vegetation cover. This powerful approach is opening up new opportunities to study the vegetation behavior with GPS technology. This information used to enhance the region's for identifying vegetation cover/mapping area.
