A Review on Software Analysis of Exhaust Thermoelectrical Generator

Kumar Nigam Mani, Dharmendra Singh Rathore

Abstract

Nowadays, heating and cooling is a major issue in the environment due to the global warming. Due to exhaust gases and unwanted pollution, TEG (thermoelectric generator) is a concept to utilize the heat energy of an engine for other works purposes. A major part of the energy is being engaged in such issues. Here, a study of conservation is being followed. TEG is a mechanical device that converts heat energy into electrical energy. Here, the device has been engaged into an exhaust system for reuse of heat energy for further electrical parts of an automobile or a generator. However, for determining the surface heat convection due to the lack of available methods, it is difficult to make accurate energy simulation and design. Here, in this study, we will perform a software simulation for the performance check-up of the system. ANSYS Software will be used for simulation and modeling, under ANSYS software will use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD Fluent) workbench as simulation analysis.
