Commercial refrigeration using CO2 as refrigerant- A Study

D. K. Joshi

Abstract

Abstract

Today, CO2 refrigeration and heat pumping technologies are recognized as workable and sustainable alternatives for a number of applications like commercial refrigeration, transport refrigeration, vehicle air conditioning, domestic hot water heat pumps and few industrial applications. This study gives an overview for the development possibilities for several applications during the next years. In next coming few years, an increase of market share for CO2 refrigeration and heat pump systems can be observed. CO2 refrigeration systems can be considered as energy efficient systems when compared with other working fluids.
