Frustrated Electron Spins Beget Quantum Technology

Sushamana Sharma

Abstract

Materials are the connectors between the real and imaginary world. Frustration in electron’s spin in specific materials due to overchoice resulting in the material to be like liquid and such material is known as quantum spin liquids. These are assumed to hold quantum entanglement which has many potential applications in the field of quantum information processing, quantum technology and many more. In this review, an attempt has made to explain the concept of frustration in material, Kagome lattice and possible material those can host QUANTUM SPIN LIQUID states. It is also expected that the neutron scattering response can show the signature of quantum spin liquids.
