Abstract

Green synthesis of nanoparticles is becoming more and more popular due to its compensation over physical or chemical methods. This research was carried out to the synthesis of nanoparticles employing three different metals (silver nitrate, copper and zinc sulphate) using Tiliacora acuminata (family: Menispermaceae) fruit powder. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized through the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FT-IR and X-Ray Diffraction studies. The antibacterial activity of nanoparticles was studied against disease causing six bacterial pathogen like Staphylococcus pyogens, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Vibrio cholerae, Enterococcus faeccalis and Shigella sonnei. The zone of inhibition observed in better result of Vibrio cholerae and Enterococcus faecalis was 7 mm fruit powder synthesized silver nanoparticles.
